February 2023 Membership Meeting
And we’re off!! We have started out the gate with a bang! Junior Ex Committee Member Matt Boyd (Cornerstone Construction Group) opened the meeting with a surprise from Black Leaders Detroit, presenting READ with a $2,500 grant, then provided a pulse-check update on development news. We then passed the mic to our featured panelist from the DEGC’s (Detroit Economic Growth Corporation) Kaci Jackson, Sr. RE Manager, and Cora Capler, Brownfield Redevelopment Manager, laying out development resources that DEGC has to offer and how it can impact getting deals done in the city. We wrapped with announcements of funding and monies available in the industry for both contractors (MFCC), and developers (Ebiara Fund).
